Fakta 2014 ilmestynyt nelilevyinen boksi. THE QUEEN OF SOUL luo rikkaan musiikillisen muotokuvan Franklinin vertaansa vailla olevasta kaudesta Atlantic Recordsilla vuosina 1967–1976. Settiin on koottu 87 kappaletta aikajärjestyksessä, ja se alkaa runsailla valikoimilla ensimmäisiltä viideltä studioalbumilta, jotka hän levytti levy-yhtiölle. Vuosina 1967–1968 levytetyt viisi albumia nousivat kaikki R&B-listojen kärkeen ja antoivat maailmalle klassikoita kuten ”(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman”, ”Chain of Fools”, ”Think” ja ykköshitti ”Respect”. Setissä on myös useita harvinaisia hylättyjä versioita kappaleista kuten ”It Was You” ja ”Talk to Me, Talk to Me”. Kokoelma tuo esiin myös Franklinin 1970-luvun loistavan musiikin, mukaan lukien kaksi albumia, jotka hän julkaisi vuosikymmenen alussa. Tämän aikakauden singlejen lisäksi THE QUEEN OF SOUL kokoaa mukaan useita live-esityksiä, kuten ”Spirit in the Dark” (Ray Charlesin kanssa, reprise) albumilta Aretha Live at the Fillmore West (1971), sekä useita kappaleita live-albumilta Amazing Grace (1972). Viimeksi mainittu levytys voitti Grammy-palkinnon parhaasta soul-gospel-esityksestä vuonna 1973, ja se on yhä Franklinin myydyin albumi.
