Fakta Brown Recluse -nimisen, katkeransuloisen psych-popin kuusihenkisen yhtyeen ja Radiophonic Workshopista inspiroituneen elektronisen duon White Candlesin jälkeen Meskers yhdisti molempien yhtyeiden ominaisuudet uuteen projektiin. Garden Gaten ensimmäinen single ”Houses” ilmestyi vuonna 2016 Good Behavior Recordsilla. Tämän jälkeen julkaisuja ilmestyi useilta levy-yhtiöiltä, kuten Sunstonelta ja Library of the Occultilta. Erityisesti The Dark Harvest -LP sai Shindigissä viisi tähteä, ja vuonna 2021 ilmestynyt, kovasti haluttu LP ”Blood Mansion” on alkuperäinen musiikki konseptuaaliseen kauhuelokuvaan.
