Saosin - Translating The Name

Fakta Originally released in 2003, Saosin’s self-titled debut EP quickly became one of the defining releases of the early-2000s post-hardcore scene. Fronted by Anthony Green, the five-song EP introduced a raw, emotional sound that balanced explosive guitars, intricate rhythms, and Green’s unmistakable high-register vocals. Its impact was immediate, spreading through the emerging DIY and internet-driven hardcore communities and helping establish Saosin as one of the era’s most influential bands. More than two decades later, the EP remains a genuine scene classic—an essential snapshot of a pivotal moment in post-hardcore and a record whose influence can still be heard throughout alternative, emo, and heavy music.
